Smart Garden

The Smart Garden is a demonstrator dedicated to studying the impact of green spaces on the microclimate and environmental comfort of an urban site. Deployed in built patios, it aims to measure and analyze the services provided by vegetation, to optimize its management and maximize environmental and energy benefits.

A network of sensors measures temperature and humidity. Powered by small solar panels, they adapt their operation to the available energy and allow a fine monitoring of microclimatic conditions and the state of the vegetation.

Three patios located in the Telecom Paris building:     

• Patio with 5 to 6 trees and a driveway leading to the council chamber        
• Patio with composter and possibility to create a vegetable garden        
• Patio of the City Stadium with 5 to 6 trees (basketball court)
• Laboratories involved: LTCI, LMD, SIRTA, SAMOVAR
