The E4C partnerships

The Energy4Climate centre’s partnerships with the economic sector or public administration take two forms: research contracts and patronage. The research contract is a legal act concluded between the educational and research institution and one or more partners (industrial, public partner, association, ...). Patronage is a device allowing an individual or a company to pay a donation to an organization, in the form of financial or material assistance, to support a work of general interest. The sponsorship for the E4C center is carried out by the Fondation de l'École polytechnique de Paris. Centre E4C has adopted a partnership ethics charter aimed at defining an internal reference framework for fundraising and ensuring the coherence of these partnerships with the public service missions and values of the E4C center and its parent institutions. Thus, many partnerships with companies allow the development of the E4C center. The IP Paris alumni also support the E4C centre through the Institut Polytechnique de Paris Foundation.

Stéphane Ifker (X 1993) & Agnès Ifker

Thanks to the exceptional support of Stéphane Ifker (X 1993), Senior Partner at Antin Infrastructure Partners and his wife Agnès Nicolas Ifker, manager in the education sector, the E4C center has been accelerating its work on smart energy management and carbon sequestration since 2022. Decisive lever in the deployment of the energy transition on the ground, it makes it possible to create two new technological platforms for Living Lab E4C, with the very first device for extracting and revaluing CO2 from water and the first full-scale demonstrator for storing and optimizing thermal and electrical energy.

Stéphane Ifker (X93) began his career at the CCF in the structured finance team before joining Rothschild Bank in 2000, where he worked until 2008 in Financial Affairs and more specifically in the financing/restructuring consulting team. Since 2008, he has been one of the founding partners of Antin Infrastructure Partners, which in 15 years has become one of the leading players in infrastructure investment in Europe and the United States. The management company Antin Infrastructure has also been listed on Euronext Paris since 2021.

Agnès Nicolas Ifker (ESSEC 93) cut her teeth in the marketing of consumer goods in London and New York, then moved to the world of media (AOL, Mondadori/Reworld Media), before joining Galileo Global Education where she became Managing Director France in 2015. She left Galileo in 2020 to open her consulting business, ANI CONSEIL. At the same time, she is training in climate transition issues and obtained a degree in "Sustainable Corporations" from the University of Oxford in 2021; she is a certified facilitator for the Fresque du Climat®, member of the NGO Les Ateliers du Futur and is involved in the association ESSEC Transition Alumni.
