Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions to Achieve Carbon Neutrality

Reducing greenhouse gases is a key lever in the fight against climate change. This research axis of the Energy4Climate center focuses on scientific, technological and systemic solutions to sustainably reduce CO2 emissions and other greenhouse gases in the key sectors of energy, industry, transport and construction.

Research Actions 1 and 2 explore decarbonisation strategies, process optimisation, carbon capture and storage technologies, as well as the assessment of their environmental and socio-economic impact. 

This axis aims to support the transition towards low-carbon energy systems, in close connection with global climate issues.
