Green IT Summer School 2026: A Week Dedicated to Sustainable Digital Technologies
.The 2026 Green IT Summer School, organised by the Energy4Climate (E4C) Center, has successfully concluded after five days of training focused on the challenges of sustainable digital technologies. This sixth edition brought together PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, prospective doctoral students, and industry professionals to deepen their understanding of environmentally responsible computing.
The programme explored a broad range of Green IT topics, including the environmental footprint of 5G networks, impact assessment methodologies, cloud computing and data centres, green coding practices, and the challenges and opportunities of Green AI.
Participants also visited the E4C Center's Living Lab on the Institut Polytechnique de Paris campus, where they discovered demonstrators showcasing innovative solutions for the energy and environmental transition.
